When the Weather Shifts

A research-informed book about the emotional geography we build through lived experience — how birthdays, deaths, diagnoses, relationships, and separations can cluster in particular periods of the year, and how those overlapping experiences create recurring seasonal patterns that shape how we feel, sometimes before we consciously recognize the approaching dates.

This is not a book about winter depression or reduced daylight. It is about a different, more personally constructed form of seasonality: patterns that accumulate, intensify, shift, and sometimes compress into recognizable emotional seasons — and about learning to recognize the terrain of one’s own life and find orientation inside experiences that once seemed unpredictable.

The manuscript combines personal experience, broader human observation, and psychological research, and is undergoing editorial refinement to distill it into the author’s established voice.
